Moving in Mexico:
good to know
- Talk to your building’s administración. Many condos in Playa have rules for moves: allowed hours, sometimes a registration, and where the truck can park. Ask at both your old and new place a few days before.
- Leaving a rental? Take photos of the place once it’s empty, before you hand back the keys. It helps with your deposit.
- Defrost the fridge the day before, empty drawers and close every box. Our moving checklist (in Spanish) has the full list.
- Keep valuables with you: cash, jewelry, passports and important documents travel with you, not in the truck.
- One item is fine too. You don’t need a full move to book us: a Marketplace sofa, a fridge or a few boxes is what our moto-truck is for.

How much does a move cost?
Within Playa del Carmen, from $250 MXN by moto-truck and from $350 MXN by pickup. To or from Puerto Morelos and Puerto Aventuras from $1,100 MXN, Cancún and Tulum from $2,850 MXN. Loading help, stairs, wrapping and disassembly are added to the price, and we give you one total before you book.
Can you pick up something I bought on Facebook Marketplace?
Yes. For a single item like a sofa, bed, fridge or washer within Playa del Carmen, our moto-truck is the cheapest option. Send us the pickup and drop-off addresses and a photo.
How do I pay?
Cash or bank transfer. Depending on the job, we may ask for a deposit to hold the date. Once confirmed, we send you the details on WhatsApp. We don’t issue facturas at the moment.
Can my pet ride along?
Yes, we’re pet friendly. Let us know when you request your quote.
Do you rent moving boxes?
Yes, plastic boxes at $40 MXN per day each, 1-day minimum. Within Playa del Carmen we drop them off and pick them up for free. You pay the rental plus a $800 MXN refundable deposit at drop-off.
